The 1936 Proof Walking Liberty Half Dollar is from a small mintage of 3901 coins. 1915 was the last year proofs were produce until the reintroduction of the 1936 proof. It appears many were mishandled making the 1936 the rarest of Walking Liberty Proofs. Yet, this example displays beautiful surface preservation accented by eye appealing toning. Well deserving of it’s Superb GEM grade.
